Nature Is All About Balance

There are only a few classes of cleansing ingredients available. The sulfates like sodium lauryl sulfate and ammonium lauryl sulfate are wonderful cleansers that leave no residue but by themselves they can be very drying. The betains like cocamidopropyl betaine (baby shampoo) and lauramidopropyl betaine are great foamers but poor cleansers. They don't do a good job of removing sebum buildup. Emulsifiers and surfactants are good at removing heavy oils but can leave the hair unprotected from the environment and styling products containing alcohol. There is no shortage of poorly-balanced products on the market that are less than stellar but your company can have products that contain natural ingredients balanced with pure, effective cleansers. Nothing is better for the hair than a well thought out formula.
